Don't leave your family guessing.

INHERITANCE PLANNING

You picked this up in our office. Here is what the flyer did not have room to say.

If something happened to you tomorrow, would your family know what to do? We help put your wishes, key papers, and account details in one clear place.

Give your family answers, not stress, delay, and confusion.

“I watched my mom struggle. I never wanted anyone to go through that again.” Ian Schaeffer, David's son and our COO, watched his mother spend months piecing together her father's affairs. This program is what came out of it. Here is what it covers.

Everything in one place

Accounts, policies, passwords, contacts, and wishes, gathered where your family can find them and understand them the first time.

Beneficiary forms

Your IRA, life insurance, and payable-on-death accounts pass by the form on file, not by your will. We check each one against what you want today.

Wills, trusts, and probate

As David puts it, a will doesn't avoid probate. It's instructions for the judge who runs it. A trust only helps with what is actually inside it, so we check yours.

Powers of attorney and health directives

If you can't speak for yourself, someone you trust should be able to. We make sure those papers exist and your family knows where they are.

The house

A refinance can take a home out of a trust, and it does not always go back in. We check the deed so the house goes where you intended.

When a spouse dies

Household income often drops while most of the bills stay the same. We plan for that year now, so the survivor is not figuring it out alone.

A clear plan for loved ones

Your children or beneficiaries hear the plan from you, with David there to guide it. Everyone leaves knowing what you wanted and where to find it.

See how it works

A short video on what families find when the time comes, and what they wish had been ready.

A trust is only part of the job. David explains the rest: titles, beneficiaries, documents, and what your family actually needs.

Who you will sit with

You don't have to figure this out alone.

I've sat with families on both sides of this. The ones who prepared, and the ones who didn't. When a family has clarity, they can grieve without chaos. They can honor their loved one's wishes instead of guessing. That's what these sessions give you.David Schaeffer

David Schaeffer has walked hundreds of families through this exact process. He knows where people get stuck and what gets skipped. He stays with you, session by session, until your plan is complete.

How it works

How the program works

Four guided sessionsPrivate sessions with David, in person or on Zoom, spaced a few weeks apart so you have time to gather papers. Session by session, you work from personal papers and passwords to accounts, insurance, beneficiary forms, and estate documents.
The Beneficiary Box™A locked heirloom case with color-coded sections and instruction sheets. Everything you organize goes inside, so your family can open it and understand it the first time.
The family meetingIn person or on Zoom, with your children or beneficiaries. Everyone walks away knowing the plan and where to find what they need.

What clients say

What families say

★★★★★

He was very prepared for our meeting, and remembered everything we had discussed from our visit when my husband was turning 65, almost 2 years ago. We have complete confidence in David.

Nancy G. · client
★★★★★

After thorough initial discovery and diligent listening, David provided a comprehensive overview of what could be done to strengthen and assure a healthy retirement plan for my wife and I. I confidently felt that he was engaged with the client in front of him and NOT promoting a cookie cutter presentation.

Mark P. · client
★★★★★

David did an excellent job at explaining to us that financially we are doing just fine at this time to be okay with our retirement, which really put our minds at ease. He explained what they can do for us going forward to help us continue on the right path.

Questions people ask

Straight answers

Do I need to be a Medicare client?

No. Many families start with us on Medicare, and many don't. If we already help you with Medicare, we build on what we know, so you won't start from scratch.

I already have a will and a trust. Is this still for me?

Yes. We organize everything around them: the accounts, contacts, healthcare papers, and beneficiary forms your documents don't cover. If anything needs to change, your attorney makes the change.

Can my spouse and I do this together? Our kids live out of state.

Most couples go through it together, and one box covers your household. The family meeting works in person or on Zoom, so children in other states can join.

What happens when I request an appointment?

Adam Frye from our client care team calls you to set up a first conversation, in our Scottsdale or Las Vegas office or on Zoom. If the program fits, you get every detail before you decide anything.

Do you write wills and trusts?

No. We are not a law firm. We organize, review, and coordinate, and your attorney drafts or updates any documents.
