For our Maricopa County clients on an Aetna Medicare Advantage HMO plan
A message from Ian Schaeffer, Chief Operating Officer
Thirty seconds on what we learned from Aetna, and the one thing we need from you so we can find your plan for 2027: get checked in.
A source from Aetna has let us know that its Medicare Advantage HMO plans in Maricopa County will not be offered next year. You may have already received your Annual Notice of Change from Aetna letting you know this. Nothing is official until the 2027 plans are released on October 1. However, we are confident enough that this is going to happen that we want to get ahead of it and get you taken care of. Your current plan stays in force through December 31, and October 1 is the day we compare every plan available to you, not only Aetna’s.
The one thing to do: get checked in. Go back to the email that brought you here and tap Get Checked-In (the link has your name at the top). Your check-in gives us your current doctors and medications, the list your new plan has to cover, and your permission to do the research for you. Without it, we cannot present you options.
Once you are checked in, your confirmation email carries a button to request your October appointment. Tap it, and client care calls you back to set the time. No need to phone the office.
