Certainty. Most families never get organized because there is never a good week to start. You just started. Here is exactly what happens next.
Each meeting has a rhythm: we review what you gathered, we work a section of the box together, and you leave knowing exactly what comes next. No guesswork, no overwhelm.
You pick up your box and we walk it together, section by section, so you can see the whole picture before you fill in a single line. Then we start the Green Section: personal information, important contacts, and healthcare documents. You leave with your first homework and the confidence that none of it is hard.
Homework: gather your personal documents and contactsYou arrive with your Green homework done, and we review it together first, celebrating what's finished and fixing anything that fought back. Then we work the Blue Section: every account, investment, insurance policy, and asset, documented so your family could find each one.
Homework: your accounts, statements, and policiesWe review your Blue work, then finish the box: monthly bills, tax records, subscriptions, usernames and passwords. David reviews your beneficiary designations and flags any gaps, this is where the quiet mistakes get caught. Your box is complete. You ring the bell.
Homework: one conversation — who is your family's steward? The session most families tell us they will never forget. We bring your children and beneficiaries together, in person or over Zoom from any time zone, and walk through the plan so everyone hears it at the same time, from you. Nobody will have to wonder. That is the whole point.
Homework: none. Just bring your family.A question between sessions? Just call. Clients phone us mid-homework all the time, "how do I list multiple beneficiaries?" is a classic, and we would much rather you ask than guess.
You do not need to do anything before Session 1. But if the excitement strikes, start a single pile: driver's license, insurance cards, and any account statement you can find in ten minutes. That pile is half of your first homework.
Your online course, Beneficiary Box Online Learning, will be waiting in your welcome email as well. The two-minute welcome video is a great place to begin.
"Your family will open that drawer someday. You just decided what they'll find."
